I have to say this has been a long beneficial journey. I will say after this I'm done I've been in school since elementary haha, I think I've done my duty. Of course in this field we have trainings constantly to stay up to date and educated though. I never thought I'd be one to join an organization especially not one in the early childhood field, however since joining NAEYC I have learned so much insight on different avenues I can take when it comes to managing, teaching, and progressing.
This program helped me find my passion in life inspiring, teaching, caring, and loving children as they have the right to be. Also, in this field making sure parents never miss out on being the first teacher in their children’s life.

This program made me come face to face with my weaknesses and
turn them into strengths. I went years just covering up things I needed to work
on because I was afraid of failing, but this program has given me more power
than I thought I had.
This program showed me my worth and potential. Sometimes
when you are at a certain place for so long you get complacent, and I never
want to go through life like that when I could be tapping into my fullest potential
and also positively influence children and families if I took the leap. I’m
taking the leap now and applying for assistant principal, education manager, and
soon enough business owner.
My long-term goal is to keep in mind everything that I have
learned these past years in this program and implement them at my facility.
Most of all always remembering the children come first.
I want to thank all my instructors throughout this program,
especially Dr. Lisa Embree for all the help and feedback that was given this
class. Truly without it the capstone project probably would have been stressful and juggling a full time job.
To my colleagues your visions, your responses have opened my eyes to so many
new insights the world has to offer. I thank everyone for giving their thoughts
on my post and allowing me to share mine as well. I wish everyone the best and
good luck on their journey in the early childhood field! Feel free to contact me anytime adams.angelique92@gmail.com

I also joined NAEYC and have learned a wealth of information and have been given resources that I can pass along to my teachers and to my families. Education is such a vast field that is constantly changing and being updated. Rules change, requirements change, but the one thing that stays the same is children need constant care. We have to remember to stay focused and remember that the decisions that we make are for the children. We have to remember to be intentional.

Hi Angelique
ReplyDeleteIt has been a pleasure getting to know you through this program! My center is currently going through NAEYC accreditation so we have a lot going on when I get back from maternity leave! I have also learned my worth and potential through this program and can't wait to show it as I work up to a Director position with my company! Good luck in the future!
