The
personal birth experience I chose to right about is my own. From all the
stories I hear from my mom and my family me being here today is a miracle from
God. During my moms labor somehow the umbilical
cord got tied around my neck, which lead to me losing oxygen. Once the doctors
finally pulled me out I was blue in their terms “dead”, my mom always says she
wouldn’t open her eyes until she heard me cry. They worked on me for a couple
minutes and after awhile I turned pink and had my first cry and my mom was
relieved. Every time I hear this story I just imagine the horrible things that
were going through my moms head and also how it is truly a blessing that I am
here today seeing I was technically born dead.
I chose
this experience because its unique and very rare. I believe that the birth has
many effects on child development such as if anything would go wrong during the
birth it can sooner or later effect the development of the child. Even if the
mother isn’t taking care of her self properly can affect the child
tremendously. “Russia crude birth rate, at 13.2/1,000 in 2013” (Karlin, 2016) and is predicting
to keep rising over the years. It really has to do with the fact there are so
many women there as well. Many other countries take bearing children very
seriously unlike the U.S. were people are just getting pregnant to keep a man
around seems like. Children are our future we should respect them more.
