From all the research this class has brought me I have learned many things that helped my professional and personal development in the early childhood education field. For one I learned that poverty is much more than what we see on the streets, and it affects children deeper than i ever thought. However, I also learned that there are many resources available to people that can help children and families in need. I have gained knowledge from my website ZerotoThree from all the newsletters they send about children and the importance of the early years of life. This website has really given me a source base for understanding children and why they act and react the way they do. This website also gives me a outlet to give to parent if they needed any resources or questions answered about their children. Even though I wasn't able to talk with my professional because the podcast had ended listening to all the old ones really gave me a great understanding of teachers around the world.
One goal I can truly say I want all teachers to accomplish is helping or reaching just one child and making sure they get the high quality education they deserve. In order to do that we have to stay on top of our trainings and anything new that comes up in the early childhood education field. Times are changing and we have to adapt with them! Good Luck to all!

Angie, I like the way you expressed that "one child." If we can touch "a child's" life that would be a great accomplishment. I had one little girl tell me, once I started teaching the class, that "You are a g-o-o-d one! It gave me pride and encouragement to know that someone felt this way about me: My little female student. I hope that I can change lives and encourage every time I am on the platform educating. Great post!
